We celebrated Amanda's birthday together

‭1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV‬

[4] Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. [5] It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. [6] Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. [7] It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Written by Jung

As I read the passage Helen shared this morning in our family group, one word stood out to me: 'always.'

How can we practice love consistently? Not just sometimes, or only when I'm feeling well, or even when it's convenient, but always. It's not about being flawless; it’s about persisting in love despite our mistakes.

True transformation is the only way forward. When impatience is our natural state, merely trying to be patient results in a lifetime of struggle. However, if we transform our nature to be patient, moments of impatience become brief lapses that we can rectify.

This transformation is possible through Christ.

Therefore, let's not just strive to be patient, kind, and free from envy, but to be transformed in Christ.
