John 4:39 NIV
[39] Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”
Written by Jung
What touched their hearts about the testimony of the Samaritan woman who had five husbands?
She likely had a not-so-favorable reputation and was distrusted by many. Yet, many believed because of her testimony.
I believe the answer is simple: she transformed. Everyone knew who she was and the kind of life she had led. When she returned, filled with joy and awe, it marked a stark difference in her attitude, likely with a newfound brightness in her eyes.
It likely wasn’t the only thing she said to people, 'He told me everything I ever did.' As she shared with the other Samaritans, they could see her enlightenment and how she had been embraced by Christ, despite her past.
The greater the change within us, the greater the impact of our testimonies.
Thus, your transformation becomes the testimony itself. The extent of Jesus's impact on your life makes you a precious messenger of His love.
Many people are seeking Him. Let us be the messengers of His love.
