Pastor Enoch in Mongu, Zambia sent us a picture of his church doing Meeting 2.

 ‭Philippians 4:4-7 NIV‬

[4] Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! [5] Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. [6] Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. [7] And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Rejoice in the Lord, be gentle, and pray to God—these are the things that Paul requests.

But how? Should we do it just because the Bible says so? Are these additional things we must maintain to be Christians, on top of everything else?

Paul proclaims, "The Lord is near." I believe this is a prerequisite. Knowing that the Lord is near, that our efforts will greatly benefit the Kingdom of God, and that we are the chosen children, we can indeed rejoice, be gentle, and pray.

And we can do this in the peace of God.

Let us rejoice, for it is already accomplished in Jesus.
