Humble Joy

his is Missionary Joy. She served in South Africa for six years before returning to Korea in 2013. She was one of the most hardworking missionaries ever. It is amazing how she is humble enough to continually learn and grow in Christ.

‭‭Luke‬ ‭5:37‭-‬39‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[37] And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. [38] No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. [39] And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better.’ ”

Of course, the old is often considered better. We are all creatures of habit. We resist change and sometimes refuse to adapt. If you can get away with it, then please, be my guest.

However, this is about Jesus Christ. If we are not willing to change for His sake, we will be left behind. It is not enough for us to find the right formula and then simply dwell on it. God has an amazing plan for our lives, and it requires us to undergo multiple changes until we get there.

Our faith reassures us that our good God will keep us strong and protect us as we embark on a journey that may frighten us.

That is why God is good. All the time. Do you believe it?
