[32] When Mary arrived and saw Jesus, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died.”

Isn't this some of us who have lost our loved ones, or those who missed a job opportunity, or those who have been praying for a miracle that didn't come through, etc.? I know we all know the story of Lazarus, and today I just want to quote verse 32 when Mary questioned Jesus's presence. As I look at this account, truly, she represents us.

We all have moments or seasons like this when we ask Jesus, 'Where are you, and why does this have to happen to me?' Honestly, the answer to the 'why' we may not know, but what I have learned through this journey with Christ is that, in spite of what I'm going through, He is with me in that brokenness and pain. He knows how I feel, and He cares for me deeply. His presence always surrounds me, and all He needs from me is to rest assured that He will never leave me nor forsake me.

We live in a broken world, and we are all going to face pain and suffering. However, that should not let us lose sight of the living hope we have in Christ. He endured the cross for you and me, so let us not focus on our circumstances but believe and trust in Jesus to help us through, for He loves and cares for us. 🙏🏽❤️
