Roden is one of the Vuku leaders at ANMC Dunoon. The journey with him has been very interesting, but we see Jesus in him through it. Let's keep our eyes on Jesus.

I was having a conversation with someone, and it led to a discussion of how God uses everything and everyone for His good purpose. This talk reminded me of the statement: "Not all experiences with God are experiences of salvation."

We often chase after a higher power and miracles as if they are evidence of God's love for us. Perhaps they are, and they might even convey messages from the Almighty God. However, it might not be the same thing as salvation.

As it happened in Luke 17, through the healing of the lepers, all walked away from Jesus after receiving what they were seeking, but only one returned to Jesus.

Salvation comes through having a relationship with Jesus Christ. Just because we feel that a higher power protected or helped us doesn't necessarily mean it's the same as having a relationship with Jesus Christ that brings eternal life.

Let's examine ourselves each day to ensure that we're not pursuing only the evidence of God's power and providence but, more importantly, seeking Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the only thing that we need to seek each day, nothing else.
