CMC Vuku Leader Amila has been struggling with her health. Mama fundisi and I visited her to pray for her. Beautiful time.

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:5‭-‬11 NIV

How could anyone fully understand what Jesus has done for us and what it means?

Christ was made in human likeness and became obedient to death, which is the ultimate difference between God and humans. There is much more to it in the details. For example, just because a CEO lowers his salary to match a lower position in the company, it doesn't mean the CEO is truly humbled.

Jesus didn't humble himself on the surface or in gesture but in its entirety. When he came to do his work, he was patient with us and walked with us at our pace.

He could have come and scared or forced us into submission. He could have brought disasters upon us all to make us turn to him, or he could have easily fulfilled our desires to make us turn to him, such as becoming a victorious conqueror or ultimate provider with many jobs.

On the contrary, he showed a sign and taught the truth. He waited, and then again he showed a sign and taught the truth. He didn't try to change people's minds with his authority, but he waited for us and gave time for our hearts and love for him to grow. He gave us a chance to see and believe in him for ourselves. He waited for his disciples and us to truly understand and believe in "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty" through a relationship.

As we grew, he didn't get frustrated or disappointed but understood and loved us as if he were one of us. He didn't see anything else but us. The only thing he demanded from us was to have faith in him as we failed over and over again.

Let's be patient with one another, even if they are in unbearable places where we don't want to be. Jesus was with us when we were in such places and was patient with us until today.

So they may hope in Christ.
