Boaz replied, “I’ve been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband—how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before. May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”

Helen was reading the book or Ruth the other day, which led me to revisit the book. Here is what Boaz said to Ruth when she was possibly at her lowest point.

Suddenly, I realized how much it applies to all of us. We have left our own culture and traditions not to follow Naomi or the Israelites, but Jesus. No one else welcomed us except Jesus and His people, which was enough for us.

Just as Boaz blessed her with "May the Lord repay you for what you have done," our Lord will also fully repay us.

God restored Ruth's dignity and blessed her with even downright crazier to a Moabite woman. Her bloodline bore King David.

As she became a part of the bloodline of Jesus Christ, you have also been chosen to be a royal priesthood in Christ, a holy nation.

What it truly implicates goes beyond our current understanding and will be revealed throughout eternity.

May our Lord richly bless you with His presence today.
